The Grand Mosque at King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) is a distinctive architectural landmark inspired by the crystalline geometry of the desert rose. Rising among the district’s iconic skyscrapers, the mosque features intersecting plate forms and two sculpted minarets that create a powerful visual presence from all perspectives.
Designed as a spiritual and Juma’ah mosque, the facility accommodates up to 2,000 worshippers indoors and 2,500 outdoors. The mosque comprises a basement, ground floor, mezzanine, plaza, and ablution areas, with a total built-up area of 6,103 sqm on a 10,760 sqm site. This project reflects ABCC’s capability to deliver culturally significant structures that combine architectural expression with functional excellence.
